Re: Against Hitler's Luftwaffe in the Balkans The Royal Yugoslav Air Force at War in 1941

It is my pleasure to announce that in September my latest book, which I co-authored with Ognjan Petrovic, titled "Against Hitler's Luftwaffe in the Balkans" will be published by Pen & Sword Books LTD. Below are some of the highlights and attached are the photos of the press release. We have put a lot of work into research of all events that led up to the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia and the air combat operations. This will be the first time such information is available in English language and with many previously unseen photographs. I look forward to hearing your opinions once the book is published! Thank you.

Highlights
• Explores the Kingdom of Yugoslavia’s aerial battle against Hitler’s forces in April 1941
• The Third Reich attacked after Yugoslavia aligned itself with the Allies
• Italian forces supported the German offensive
• The authors describe the development of the Yugoslav Air Force leading up to the conflict
• Shows how the Yugoslavs used a mix of Axis and Allied aircraft
• Explores how the Yugoslav aircrew fought gallantly against overwhelming odds
• Highly illustrated throughout, many of which not previously published

Sounds good. Is there a picture of the Table of Contents?

Congratulations for BOTH authors!
Only those involved do know the amount of difficulties that had to be overcomed to see one's work published and printed. Congratulations again.
Very well done...and keep going.

A.

Thank you very much Adriano! It is for sure a labor of love, and lot of work went into it.

Book looks fascinating. Now to track down a copy that doesn't require a second mortgage to post to Australia.

Thank you for taking the time to post the ToC pics.

It would be interesting to know what it states about Hans Beisswenger and his victory.

I expect that the authors and publishers would be very happy if you bought a copy to find out!

Hi Djordje
Since most (if not all) of the April 1941 aspects have already been covered in various aircraft type monographs
published before your book, there is actually only one part that would interest me, the second line aircraft.
Can you please advise me how they get treated (Chapter V)?

Do we get all serial numbers, losses/captured data etc, etc?

Cheers
Stig
