Dieterle's Red 7 from Sep 13, 1944

How do I get info, like the Werk Nu and where and when a particular Bf-109 was produced? Any production details are welcome, like subcontractors producing components, even a factory photo of the this airframe on the assembly line, if such a picture would exist. I am writing a story as some of you know about the loss of a B-17 on the Sep 13, 1944 mission to Merseburg. Mag the Hag II, a B-17 with the 92nd BG, was herrausschuss from its formation by Lt. Manfred Dieterle of 2./JG 300. He was flying Red 7 that day. I found a pic a Mag the Hag II getting the large white triangle and black B painted on her vertical tail surface, a rare pic to be sure.

Thanks,

Re: Dieterle's rote 7 from 13. Sept. 1944

The machine Dieterle was using on 13. September may be Bf 109G-14/AS WNr.780935 “rote 7” of the 2./JG 300, in which Fw. Hans-Joachim Riedel was KIA 27.Sept. 1944 in Luftkampf with P-51s. He parachuted, and was shot in his parachute. Location given as Tuttleben/Thüringen.

It´s in the loss list in Lorant/Goyat "JG 300 - Vol 2", p.338

Thank you, Roland. I have been able to get a copy of vol 1 from a library loan: I live in Michigan and the book came from a library in Florida. I am trying to get v2, but the closest available is in Belgium!!
