RC Fokker DVII build
I thought I would share with you ladies and gents the Fokker DVII build my husband is working on for this seasons' RC flight. It has an Evolution 0.60 NX nitro engine and is about 1/6 scale - the wingspan is as large as I am tall - 64.6 inches, length 49.8 inches and tops about 10 pounds..
It is a kit, but a lot of the parts Peter has scratch built. I painted the pilot, because the stock pilot they had was... ugh. See if you recognise the plane, AND the pilot. It has 6 servos, 5 control and 1 special - the pilot's head turns. http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/IMAG0003.jpg Tail with custom rigging http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/IMAG0034.jpg Custom cockpit Pilot repaint: Stock: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...AN8303-450.jpg In progress: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...IMAG0012-4.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/IMAG0013.jpg Finished Pilot: (Rudolf Berthold) http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/IMAG0030.jpg Customized Spandaus: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...IMAG0009-3.jpg http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...t/IMAG0019.jpg Flare Gun Cartridges: http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...IMAG0011-2.jpg I have more, but Photobucket is being pokey tonight. I'll post more if anyone is interested in seeing, and will post a vid of the maiden.

Re: RC Fokker DVII build
Ah, my old "virtual" Jasta 18
You've succeeded in capturing Berthold very well. Great model. Seems to be some variance in how the blue is depicted for these aircraft. From your lighter color to the much darker Prussian Blue. Very impressive Spandaus and looks like you've got a nice collection of tea!

Quote:
Thanks, Ruy - Yeah the problem with models is that they can never agree on the proper colour. Take for instance, the question I had asked here about the FW190 that Peter is considering for his next build - Kyosho likes to make it difficult (I think we've decided on Priller, but the resin pilot figure he purchased for 30$ looks like it was slapped together for 3$. - so now I have me some resin scuplting to do. Tried to convince him to make it into someone else *hint hint wink* but it was a no-go. (To think, husband jealous of a dead man. LOL) Oh yes, I do love my tea - I also make some nice herbal blends fresh in the summertime when my herb garden kicks in. I would have had some nice Lemon Verbena tea, but my landlord's maintenance guy mistakenly ran over my bush!
