Flying Officer Edward David Levens KIA
Hi,
Flying Officer Edward David Levens, Pilot, RAFVR was killed onNovember 23rd 1944 while serving with No.195 Squadron. The Squadron ORB records that's body was recovered from the sea by a B.P.C - Can anyone explain what a B.P.C is ? TIA Steve

Re: Flying Officer Edward David Levens KIA
Perhaps a "variation" of BPBC (British Power Boat Company) (BPC - British Powerboat Company??) which made HSL (High Speed Launches, i.e., Air/Sea Rescue Boats.

Re: Flying Officer Edward David Levens KIA
Ahhh.. if he was recovered on the beach at Blankenberge Belgium, maybe B. P. C. is something like Belgium (or Blakenberge) Police Constable or Beach Patrol Constable (angelized version).
