Acklington 1940 Wing Commander H J Pringle

Hi,

I am trying to help a friend, so I thought I would ask in this forum. As there is much experience here.

Please can anyone confirm if W/Cmdr H. J. Pringle was the Station Cammander of Acklington during 1940?

Would anyone happen to have any knowledge about him, service information etc?

Thank you very much in advance

There is a little on Herbert John Pringle here.

This link gives the dates he was at RAF Acklington (search for Pringle):

Pringle was the station commander from 17 August 1940 to 30 July, 1941 when he was posted to Fighter Command.
