Zoran

Both Winston Brent and Michael Schoeman says FT872 had an engine failure 2 March 1945 (not 2 Feb)
Regarding the place, Brent says Perma and Schoeman Parma. Since Parma exists and Perma not I
would say Parma is more likely than even your Perna (too south).

Brent also adds
FX617
FX646
FX738
FX836

On the other hand he has not in his list FT846

With regard to FX505 it is not listed by Brent (or Shoeman). No SAAF fighter loss on that day at all.

Brent has (as you) FX505 listed as PI of SAAF 5070

Cheers
Stig

For your list:

FT846 - Did not exist (Aircraft in reality is FT945) - Earliest Kittyhawk IV serial is FT849

FX505 - not 11SAAF - That aircraft went to the Union (earlier than the loss date)

I have the following additional for you:

FT922
FT935
FT938
FX535
FX537
FX563
FX568
FX571
FX694
FX723
FX735
FX795

Your first photo shows the aftermath of the accident to FT945 29th Mar 1945, your second photo shows FX836 after it nosed up at Iesi 19th Jan 45

Some of your histories are a little off as well (I assume that dates are in roman numerals), and there are additional codes for these aircraft

The first

FT850 ND-M, 1945.

Buz, thank You very much.
I confirmed:
FX723 as ND-D, from Colin Sinclair's logbook.
FT922 Hit by anti-aircraft fire 6.1.1945, flown by Laubscher, sqn's OC.
Still working on the others.

Thanks again,
Zoran
