The terms "einsatzbereit" and "nicht einsatzbereit" in Lw strength reports
Hello,
I wonder what exactly the terms "einsatzbereit" and "nicht einsatzbereit" in Lw strength reports (Einsatzbereitschaft der Fliegende Verbände RL2-III/715-... and so on) mean. Did the category of combat-ready planes include technically serviceable planes that, for various reasons, had landed not on the home airfield and therefore were not available for combat sorties right now? Were the repairable planes that landed outside airfields and were at the places of forced landings at the time of reporting taken into account among the non-combat planes? Were the planes that were under repair outside of their unit counted among the non-combat ready ones? And if some of them continued to be included in the strength reports, where was the line between those that were counted and those that were no longer? Within Luftflotte area / outside Luftflotte area? Best regards, Andrey |
