I do wish people would call such things as German not after a misguided (and evil) political party! German people produced such maps and maybe some of them were party members!

Not half as much of a struggle as reliably distinguishing state organisations from party ones! The police, "security" and "justice" systems became hopelessly entangled; the armed forces bore the party symbol on their flags and tail fins; the party took over pre-existing initiatives such as Winter Aid; the NSDAP claimed tto embody the will of the German national community in the person of its leader (a load of quasi-mystical cobblers, obviously, but they acted on it).
