Lt. Cook Cleland/Gunner W.L.Hisler VB-16

Good evening to all
what is the story concerning this Douglas SBD Dauntless crew of VB-16 that reportedly the pilot claim five kills and his gunner claim 4 kills. that even the franklin mint did a die cast model (1/48 scale) white 39 .
