A breath taking MACR describing a B-24 episode attacked by fighters
most probably German fighters while leaving the target somewhere
SSE of Ploesti ,then followed the bomber near Romanian Bulgarian
border where the enemy fighter kept aiming at the diving Lib all the way
to the gnd whereby the Lib's gunners kept shooting at the fighter
which crashed too not far far from the Lib. Most of the crew became
POW in Bulgaria.

Can anyone identify which German or Bulgarian fighter pilot was
involved on all this ?
