Horst is correct! The only Mosquito crashed near Trier (Bonerath is a small town near this city) was near Berglicht in Februar 1945. Pilot KIA, Navigator PoW. hans |

Blake, look for any part numbers, or stamps in that part. You should be able to find something. Danny

I took a closer look at it. I did not find any numbers but there is a small purple piece on the inside of the broken end of the bracket where a screw goes in. I attached another picture showing this. I am not sure if it is a wire or what. I also wonder what is covering the bolts. Looks like dried glue. Any thoughts on the purple piece or coating on the bolts ? |
