Help requested: KG40 crew names & German handwriting

Dear all,

I'm not too confident about how to read some German crew names, see attachment. As far as I can read the Sutterlin hand writing it may be:

1. Oblt Edgar Lenschnit/Lenscheit
2. Ofw Fritz Weinig
3. Uffz Heinrich Pront/Prost
4. Fw Heinrich Bolinger/Elinger

If it is of any help, this is the crew of Do 217E-4 Wnr 1142 F8+GP of 6./KG40 which crashed near Veenendaal, the Netherlands on 26th february 1942. Perhaps an NVM turns up with legible names...

Hopefully one of the forumites is able to read the German handwriting and advise me of the correct names.

Thanks in advance for your effort,
Hans

NVM gives only:
1942-02-26, 6./KG 40, Do 217E-4, 1142, F8+GP, Veenendaal, Notlandung infolge Motorstörung. Bruch 80 %.
Bordmechaniker Ofw Weinig, Fritz, +

Flugzeugführer Olt Bendscheidt, Edgar of 6./KG 40 was MIA 1942-07-24

I cannot find the other two in personnel loss lists.

Matti

Hi Norbert and Matti,

Thanks a lot for your help!

Matti, does the NVM also give an Ekm for Oblt Benscheid? And what is the correct spelling of his name? Norbert suggests Benscheid, but you mention Bendscheidt

Hans

So, if I'm reading the attachment correctly, Prond is the Funker (Bf) and Edinger is the "Bombenschutzexxx" (B)?
