Fw Hase 2/NAGr-13 KIA 27 February 1945
Fw Hase, 2/NAGr-13 (Reich Def) Bf 109G-6 Werk # 230816 KIA 27 February, 1945 during aerial combat near Gutach.
I believe this pilot was a victim of a Spitfire IX of Cne Gauthier of GC2/7. Does anyone have details of his career (first name, DOB)? He won an operational award as a night bombing observer. regards Keith |

Re: Fw Hase 2/NAGr-13 KIA 27 February 1945
Blimey, many thanks chaps. You continue to astonish me with your knowledge. Although apparently he was not the pilot of the Bf109 brought down by Gauthier (who bailed out but survived) he is yet another unfortunate victim of 332 Wing FAF
my very best Keith |

Re: Fw Hase 2/NAGr-13 KIA 27 February 1945
According to Gefr Egon Ziesmann, he was flying with Haase ("from Argentina") when they were shot down by "French Spitfires". Haase baled out, opened his parachute too early and was apparently shot while hanging on his parachute. Ziesmann dived down to treetop height, managed to bale out and landed unhurt in a pine tree

Re: Fw Hase 2/NAGr-13 KIA 27 February 1945
Thanks Chris,
I didn't know that Ziesmann was flying with Haase that day but I know the plane crashed close to Burgberg which is close to Königsfeld. Best regards Rolf |

Re: Fw Hase 2/NAGr-13 KIA 27 February 1945
With apologies for the delay chaps but many thanks for your input. 332 Wing is a favourite project of mine and your contributions are very much appreciated. I did believe that this was a bit of an obscure subject but looking back on the input from so many forumites from other nations I have been proved wrong.
best regards Keith |
