Not KIA, but WIA and briefly POW....

Shared claim of Alfred Friendship (rank?), No. 3 Squadron in Hurricane L1591, but perhaps someone can confirm this.

Groet,
Leendert

1.(H)/41 Henschel Hs126B-1. Shot down by RAF Hurricaneduring observation sortie between Leuven and Gembloux and crashed at ‘Les Trixnes’, west of Bas-Oha, 6.00 p.m. Probably that claimed by F/O Stone of No. 3 Squadron. BO Oberlt Ullrich Strohm and FF Uffz Heinz Kubik both killed.

Thank you for the help, according to the list of Mr Larry DeZeng both Oblt Strohm was WIA and became POW. So i was wrong;

Re: May 12 1940 HS-126 crash at Bas-Oha Belgium

If the information of Rémi in post #6 is correct, then Kübik was the only one died in/from this crash.
I haven't found any confirmation yet of ObLt Strohm's death, so I assume like the others in posts #2 and #5 that he was wounded but survived.

Cheers, Pieter
