Bf109T

Greetings all,

there is one book on this subject:

http://www.worldwartwobooks.com/prod...-naval-fighter

If you read summary of this book, you will note at the end that it was used until 1944, which is very long service for aircraft in most cases similar to E series. Any idea which one was served so long?

Cheers

Re: Bf109T

I think Frank Marshall would have something to say about that being the only book on the Bf 109 T. More than that I will not say...

I note you link to the most prolific author in the history of Luftwaffe writing also. I will say no more than that on that point also...

Re: Bf109T

There was also a book published by a Norwegian author on the 109T. Can't put hands on it right now, but it was pretty good, as was Frank's book.... Paul

Re: Bf109T

Maybe this book from Norway could be excellent source of info, they have very good researchers and publications.

Don't quite follow what you mean, Rémi.

Just that no necessity to make a second book , as the first one was quite complete , nd material for the subject is not so large nd few surfaced since publication.

To add that the book of Francis, gives a large place to history, not just naming the planes by STKZ nd Wn.

Re: Bf109T

Hi, all!

The two books by Francis Marschall, one in German and a revised version in English is the definitive reference on the Bf 109T, not on the aircraft only but also the units using it and the personalities flying it.

The booklet on the Bf 109T in the series Profiles in Norway is a camouflage and markings oriented work, made in full cooperation and understanding and with important contributions from Francis.

I cannot comment on the work by Murawski - I have not read the book at all, only made a mental note that there was an out-of-court settlement made related to breach of copyright.

Regards,
Andreas B
