The old-fashioned way would be to write to him, but send the letter to his publisher and ask them to forward it. Nowadays try the same thing with e-mail.

Thank you. I did contacted publisher, and now wait for answer.
I am interested in a photo that has no source stated.
On it is a Spitfire with factory serial with numbers 4, 5 and 6. I am just interested to see how was factory mask for painting this numbers cut. That can not be seen on the photo published in the book because of the size and print raster.
