Re: Questions regarding Allied POW Reg Cards
MACR 6019 has 2/Lt. Adolph O. Adelmann information. He was a bombardier in 744 Bomb Squadron, 456 Bomb Group. Pilot on date lost was 2/Lt. Kirk B. Goza and ship was B-24J 44-40493. According to German document listed as ME 1466 the plane crashed at or near Koprivniza. MACR lists coordinate of plane was last seen being 4407N/1658E.
Have not found anything on Schindler but will continue to look. Kent |

Re: Questions regarding Allied POW Reg Cards
MACR 6515 covers S/Sgt. Sol D. Schindler. Note the date of loss is July 7, not 12. He was assigned to 741 Bomb Squadron, 455 Bomb Group. German document ME1582 (uncertain last two digits as it is very blurry) states plane crashed at/near Blauendorf. MACR states last seen at 4920N/1825E. Pilot on the flight was 1/Lt. Ralph M. Chadwick and it was B-24H 42-64481.
