14-10-43 Schweinfurt raid - Bf109 W.nr. 15953 fate

Dear colleague researchers,

l have a difficult question l try to solve and l need yr help here as l am at a dead end.

During the Schweinfurt raid a Bf109 G6 from I./JG 3 made a (emergency/crash?) landing at Hilversum airfield due to fuel issues. 30% damage was noted....

1. Would it be possible to find out who the pilot was of this plane?
2. What happened to this plane afterwards, is there any reference to this?

I appreciate if you could help out here. My resources on JG3 are unfortenately very limited.

Thx!!

Wijbe

Dear Wijbe,

I have no information on the pilot of this Bf 109 in October 1943.

The a/c obviously was repaired, as it is reported with III/ JG 3 on 10th July 1944 ("Abgang", ULTRA HW5/529).
