Diverted Mustangs Dec 10th 1944
Hi,
Long shot here. On December 10th 1944 RAF Chedburgh received three P51 Mustangs between 12:55 - 13:02 hours who were diverted. The first P51 broke every rule in the book in that it did not contact the control tower and came into land almost colliding with a Avro Lancaster on its final approach. The second P51 overshot the landing and ended in a field. Trying to identify the P51 Group Any pointers welcome. Steve
