Me-110 shot down by 239 sqdn crew - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

F/O Bridges V and F/Sgt Webb D.G; from 239 Sqdn were claiming a Me-110 near the town Kortrijk ( Courtrai ) in Belgium on may 11th 1944. Anyone an idea about the identity of that Me-110 ?

This might be a candidate. The other losses that night were in accidents.

Bf 110G-4, 5375, Körner, Uffz. Karl, 8.NJG 5, C9+DS, 11-May-44, KIA with crew, cause unknown., Nachtjagd, Höhler, Deutsche Nachtjagd Personalverluste, p.123, Herne, near Hail/Belgien

Uffz Brucker Rudi (KIA)

Are you sure about the date may 11th 44

This aircraft was shot down during the night of Thursday 11-Friday 12 May 1944 and crashed at Herne. Probably hit by the rear gunner of a Halifax from the 426 Squadron.
