Capt Julius Maxwell 84th FS 78th FG

I'm looking for info on Capt Julius Maxwell 84th FS & his P-47D "War Eagle" s/n 42-74742 WZ+O. Especially looking for a shot of the insignia below the cockpit. Any help greatly appreciated.

Jack - I have researched everything I have re: Maxwell and/or 78FG and no joy. Multiple mentions but zero pics.

His P-47 was later renamed Snafu and I've got a good shot of it but no War Eagle.....The search continues.
BTW Bill found a couple 355th FG in my stash I'd forgotten about.

Jack -

War Eagle named for Auburn University Team Name - Could
Eagle Art Work be a Copy of Auburn Eagle?

Jack - as you might imagine I have about 2000 355th FG and TFW (105) shots - just let me know what you want or need. I have lost all my great 78 FG contacts but Jeffrey Fry might be one for you to ask?
