Re: Losses NJG 200

Thanks Remi (and now Andreas as well!)

Make no mistake, I certainly know the amount of work involved with research

Since I don't have any first hand information I simply check on anomalies when updating, in this instance, Balss work. He has very little details regarding NJG 200, which makes this discussion all the more interesting!!

Again, thanks Guys

Cheers
Stig

In the East Bf110 night fighters were often used on daylight as close support a/c or even as day fighters. With daylight-level losses, I think.

Re: Losses NJG 200

Andrey,
I think that changed in 1943. Lt Josef Kociok 10./ZG1 (later 5./NJG200) was flying the Bf110 at night. He claimed 3 Po-2 46 GNBAP on 31Jul43 at night (but actually shot down 4 Po-2). I believe he also got a TB-3 (or Li-2) of the 7 GAPDD in one night raid in May43.

Re: Losses NJG 200

Hello Andreas
Thanks a lot for the very interesting info!
One question, is it possible that http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=120842 and http://www.ahs.no/ref_db/lw_loss_pub...?lossid=120907 are in fact two reports on same accident, Wnros . 880740 and 740, reason engine failure in both cases and damage also same, dates consecutive?

Juha

Of course, NJG200 sometimes operated at night too :-) I wrote "often used on daylight", not "solely on daylight".

Andrey
