ID of Hurricane REoD (or B?) lost during the WC?
Hello,

Yes, I did the same Paul and would agree that it is "RE-G". These are the losses for 229 Sqdn that I have. 9th April 40 - L1790, in sea off Grimsby, Sgt. Dent Killed/recovered. 18th May 40 - L1803, P/O Bussey 18th May 40 - P2729, P/O Bussey Baled-POW -Brussels area. 18th May 40 - L1802, P/O Dillon cr Castillon Hill, Mons KIA ( CWGC give 17th May 40). 18th May 40 - L2142, F/L Rosier 18th May 40 - P2757, F/L Rosier Baled but burned , Vitry. 18th May 40 - P2676, P/O Gower baled safe - Brussels area. 21st May 40 - P3546, P/O Gower S/d cr E'taples, KIA. 21st May 40 - ?????, P/O Linney, baled safe nr Merville. 26th May 40 - ?????, P/O Linney again. 28th May 40 - N2551, Sgt Hillman KIA. 29th May 40 - P3489, F/L Clouston, KIA. 29th May 40 - P2636, F/L Brown, KIA. 29th May 40 - P2876, Sgt Harrison KIA. 29th May 40 - N2473, F/O New baled safe. 29th May 40 - N2521, F/L Linney again, safe.A/c SoC 12/6/40. 31st May 40 - P3553, P/O Verity baled safe. 31st May 40 - P3492, Sgt Edgehill c/l a/c SoC wounded. 31st May 40 - L1982, P/O Collins S/d Dunkirk, KIA. Next one's I have are 11th September 40 - N2466, P/O Carver and P3038 P/O Ravenhill. Both pilots baled over the UK. So if the a/c the baled pilots were from can be eliminated there are few left.
