Stig, I found the photo online in (I believe) Google books. I took a screen dump and saved it using Paint.

T3229 was coded PN-F, and repainting is visible on the first two photos.
"BT-P T50x7." Could be only T5087, Egypt V.42. Crashed on take-off, Edku (also sometimes spelled Idcu), 29.7.42. Another BT-P was T4840, Beaufighter IF. Shot down by Bf 109 near Sidi Barrani 19.8.42. T5037 was coded 'E', Egypt, XI.42, T5047 'O', both of 272 sqn. |

Thank you Ed, I am glad to find that for now it looks like my memory is still OK, so thank you for the confirmation. Did you find the info on the www or the Luftwaffe forum that I mentioned ?
