Trying to identify a pilot : Freidrich REISCHLE or Freidrich Hüllenkremer
Dear all,
a friend of mine is trying to identify this pilot (he was a member of his wife's family). They are not sure about his name (mother or father's?) so he may be either Freidrich Reischle or Freidrich Hüllenkremer. All is he knows is family oral tradition : he was shot down by American fighters. Any idea on how identify this 109E pilot ? Thanks GC Last edited by gilles collaveri; 31st March 2016 at 18:09. |

Re: Trying to identify a pilot : Freidrich REISCHLE or Freidrich Hüllenkremer
Gilles,
the man is sitting as a Gefreiter in "red 10" from 2./JG 52 during summer or autumn 1939. The portrait shows him with the rank Obergefreiter and his uniform is absolutely clean. I assume, he was part of the ground staff of that fighter group and was sitting in the fighter for a photo to be send home.
