Question re.: A History of V./(2)LG 1 - 1./NJG3 1939-1941, by Ludwig Von Eimannsberger (2004)

Dear all,

I have a question re. the following book:

Zerstorergruppe: A History of V./(2)LG 1 - 1./NJG3 1939-1941 by Ludwig Von Eimannsberger (Schiffer Military Aviation History2004)

Can anyone who has this book tell me if it goes into detail into the claims & losses of I./NJG3 during 1941?

Cheers, Theo

Hello Theo

I dug out my copy of this book and had a look for you. It doesn't go in to much detail on I./NJG 3 at all.
Chapter 7 " V./(Z)LG1 Becomes I./NJG 3" is only 2 short pages of text and 41 pages of photos (one set of pictures is of Oblt. Altendorf's Halifax victory on 15/10/42). No listings of claims is provided but there is a list of losses of crews of the former V./(Z)LG1 serving in 1/NJG 3.

Cheers
Mark
