Many Thanks Larry and much appreciated!,

It would be nice to locate a photo of him and perhaps his aircrafts flown during his career. I have found some information on the following website.

Re: Hauptmann Herbert Treppe Seeking Information and Possible Photo

Hi,

Hauptmann Treppe is mentioned a few times in the books by Wolfgang Wollenweber: "Die Reichsadler" and Ingo Möbius: "Im Eisatz über Europa. Der Jagdflieger Günther Scholz erinnert sich."

As you probably know, Wollenweber and Scholz served in JG 5, Scholz as Gruppenkommandeur and later as Kommodore.

Best regards
Raimo

Hauptmann Karl-Fritz Schlossstein, 13.(Z)/JG 5 is one of the last living witness who flew with Hptm. Treppe.

If you want to contact KFS, send me a PN.
