Bf110 serial/code

Hi,

Would anyone know the serial number and code for the Bf110 that Helmut Lent was flying when he shot down a 263 Squadron Gladiator in Norway on 2nd June 1940?

Many thanks,

Alex

Re: Bf110 serial/code

Hi Chris,

Thanks. I understand that Lent crash-landed M8+DH at Fornebu on 9th April, but it may have been repaired and put back into service.

Yes he continued to fly M8+DH but have checked and in fact was flying M8+OL on 2 June 40-he was then part of the Sonderstaffel so it would appear it was a mix of aircraft

Re: Bf110 serial/code

Hello Chris,

The local history group of Andel in Holland try to puzzle the story together about the Me210 of Erpr.Kdo.210 which crashed there on 31th July 1942. According to the RL 2 III/779 the pilot was Uffz. Hermann Bolten, the Dutch crash register came up with the name Hans.

From an old posting of yours (added to my database of Me210/410's) you might have (access to) the Flugbuch of Bolten. Can you perhaps fill in some details about this flight that day. I am just relaying, you will be credited of course for any Flugbuch data! Many thanks in advance!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Marcel / Venlo
