Ju87 D-5 recovered
All,
Haven't seen a thread on this one. https://www.americanheritagemuseum.o...u-87d-5-stuka/ 131xxx series were built as a D-3? Late 1943? Lost as D-5 Rebuilt where/when? This one lost April 44. Wonder if there is an earlier damage record. Trying to find the Stkz either from other losses or airframe. The dreaded 1944 black hole period. regards, Mark |

Re: Ju87 D-5 recovered
BL+X*, BS+O*, KN+R* and KW+O* are Stkz range used for the 131*** W.Nr. series. Stammkennzeichen.de lists some 1000+ Ju 87 D-5... So there's a lot of digging to be done.
Daniel K who took the photos can be contacted via his website given on the photos - he might have additional information. |

Re: Ju87 D-5 recovered
Hi Mikael,
I think it was built as a D-3, not a D-5 so these Stkz might not be relevant? I am going to try and find out more. Thanks for the option to contact the photo taker. regards, Mark |

Re: Ju87 D-5 recovered
Hi Nick,
Correct. Lost as a D-5 but seems to be from a D-3 W.Nr airframe. Trying to establish if it had previous history as well. Mark |

Re: Ju87 D-5 recovered
Nick,
Got this from an older post as a D-5 (and from another thread). New build? D-5 1944-04-24, 8./SG 3, Ju 87 D-5, 140477, S7+CS, 10 km südöstlich Sewastopol D-3 1943-07-17, 5./St.G 2, Ju 87D-3, 131242, T6+KN, 3 km westlich Marinowka (Pl.Qu. 88252), Absturz infolge Flakbeschuß und Aufschlagbrand. Bruch 100 %. Again, another post. Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.2700 to WNr.2800 Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.2900 Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.1000 to WNr.1100 series are the same as the 5 digit 31000 series Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.100 000 to WNr.110 000 Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.13.0000 to Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.13.1000 to Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.13.2000 to Junkers Ju87 D-3 WNr.31000 to WNr.31100 series are the same as the 4 digit 1000 series Junkers Ju87 D-5 WNr.140 000 to Junkers Ju87 D-5 WNr.141 000 to Junkers Ju87 D-5 WNr.142 000 to Ju87's are not an area of expertise for me so just picking up all the info. regards, |

Re: Ju87 D-5 recovered
Hi!
The Finnish Air Observation log data below is directly from mr. Pentti Manninen. I am acting only as a middle man. Incorrect recording is possible. Especially mixes of P/B, K/G and D/T as these are pronounced differently in Finnish and German (and Estonian). At least part of the communication has been in telephone. The list may also be incomplete. So what it is worth here are the Ju 87 Stammkennzeichen recorded from 1.1.1943 to 2.11.1944: BV+YI PL+BC HR+GX KR+GX VB+NB, NU VJ+NM, NE PG+LV VJ+GN VJ+NH, NI, NE, NG PG+LC NG+EV PN+EN, ES, EP, EU, ED, EQ, EO,ET,EK Wnr 5897 25.9.1943 with no Stkz data SK+VL, VO, VM PG+JV, JY, JE PH+RL, RA, RN, RJ, RQ TS+IS KT+QD PH+RQ BF+DB CJ+WA PG+LW BL+XN, XG KW+RH KW+OI VQ+DB SK+VN, VQ, VJ BL+OA->OI BG+LO, LZ, LC BL+OQ, OS, OT, OU BG+LF, LH BL+OJ->OP, OG BG+LO BG+JN, JO, JV, JY, JQ, JT RK+TV GN+DD KH+PP, PQ, PR, PI, PL, PU, PV, PT PH+RC, RB, RM, RL, PG+JM, JK, JQ, JX, JV, JY PG+JR, JO, JN, JX, JW BH+IA, IB PH+RB, RE, RL, RA, RN, RQ, RJ NT+TP Codes are more or less in chronological order. I do not have the dates. I don't know if this is of any help. Cheers, Kari |
