lift to drag ration for Junkers88
Hi to all the Ju88 experts,
I was wondering what was the lift-to-drag ratio for the Ju88. Probably not very good, this aircraft was definitely not a glider. In other words, I was wondering when a Ju88 had both engines quit, how far it could "glide" from the initial point. Thanks for advice, best regards. GC |

Re: lift to drag ration for Junkers88
IMHO, with most WWII twins executing a dead -stick landing was extremely difficult and if you had the altitude to get out you would. particularly if you were in a loaded condition. Ju 88 was handled well, but required a high skill level, fair amount of landing accidents, even when all was working right. L/D would depend on loading and external stores configuration. Just my two cents (Pilot approx. 60 years).
