FW 190 of Flzg.Überführ.G.1 on 19.06.1944

Hi, guys

Going through some of my notes on discrepancies in the loss database.

On 19.06.1944 Uffz Marx (Kurt?) crashed to his death in a FW 190 A-8. In the GenQu listings this is given with two different WNr.

As one of the loss records relates information from the so-called Vordruck II (or as it is usually known as - Namentliche Verlustmeldung) I tend to take this information as the real one (WNr 680577) - the loss record deemed as the valid one by GenQu haveing the WNr 680507.

Can anyone help clear this one?

Regards,
Andreas B

The NVM had 680507, but is was replaced by 680577 using a pencil. Maybe somebody found a mistake and corrected it. Unfortunately we have no info on 680507 or other info on 680577. Untill further information is found I agree with Andreas, that 680577 is the correct one.

Hi,
I think it is indeed 680557 since 680507 was with JG 2 on 18-Jul-44 and had a undetermined damage on this date. Also 680557 was accepted by BAL on 15-Jun-44 so a transfer flight on 19-Jun-44 is very plausible.

Norbert

Hello, Norbert.

Did you mean 680577? Because you wrote 680557.

Do you have the BAL date for this aircraft (680577)?

Regards,
Andreas B

Sorry about that,
I did mean 580577. For 680577 the acceptance date is the same, 15-Jun-44.

Regards,

Norbert
