Abschussbecher/victory cups for Nachtjagd Abschüsse -awarded until July 1943?

Dear all,

I recently read that Nachtjäger were awarded an Abschussbecher (silver victory cup) for each individual victory claim, but that this was ended at the end of July 1943. Is that correct? And why was this discontinued?

hello

it was an idea from Josef Kammhuber to hold on the spirit for fighting by NJG.
for each victory one Schnapsbecher and after 12 victorys (Schnapsbecher) he gave a trace.

an atricle in german about Kammhuber , at end they stand some about it.

It seems provided from a Geschichtsverein e.V. (eingetragener Verein).
