Question about french losses 11 and 14 june 1940
Hi,
I am still researching German claims in Battle in France and I have more accidents to ask: - on 11.06.40 at 11.40,11.55 and 12.03 pilots from JG53 claimed 3 MB-152 fighters shot down - on 11.06.40 at 11.55 and 12.10 pilots from JG53 claimed 3 MS-406 fighters shot down - on 14.06.40 at 14.30 pilots from I/JG1 claimed 2 Potez 63 and one Br.690 (GBA I/51?) shot down - on 14.06.40 at 18.45 pilot from JG3 claimed one Potez 63 brought down - on 14.06.40 at 16.45 pilot from JG27 claimed one Potez 63 shot down Could somebody provide me with some details (unit, pilot etc.) of this french planes? For june 11 :
GC II/9 Bloch 152 n°516 (Lt Pascal) downed by Me 109 Bloch 152 n°695 (S/Lt Ponnau) Both crashed near Reims GC I/6 MS 406 n°821 downed 10 km north Reims (Loivre) pilot POW (Cpt Lefoyer) MS 406 n°1030 (Sgt Standera) landed badly damaged For june 14 : GBA II/51 Breguet 693 downed on Bricy AF by Me109 / Pilot Cpt Nicot Breguet 693 n°80, crashed on Nantes-Bouguenais / Pilot S/Lt Dutertre GAR I/14 Potez 63 n°604 downed near Buchères (Aube), 6 km SE from Troyes. 14 h PM GAR II/22 Potez 63 n°716 downed near Troyes ? Crew POW. Sure german pilots asked for too much claims ! All info coming from "Invisibles vainqueurs" from Paul Martin. Hope this could helps. S. Muret |

There's additionnal losses for june 11th GC II/9 (MB.152) & GC I/6 (MS.406 + 1 D.520), fight with Bf 109E near Epernay MB.152 n° 264 "63", lieutenant Pascal shot down, killed MB.152 n° 311?, sous-lieutenant Ponnau baled out, wounded MB.152 n° 266 "47", sergent Daunizeau safe, damaged, landed near Chalons. MS.406 n° 821, capitaine Lefoyer baled out, wounded MS.406, sergent Kucera (CZ) shot down, returned MS.406, sergent Horsky (CZ) shot down, returned MS.406 n° 431, sergent Standera (CZ) injured, force landed near Connantre due to a lack of fuel.
