Re: Looking for information on BV-138 losses
Dear Theodor,
I don't know if I should write you in English or German. You want further information about an BV-138: BV-138C-1 WNr 310073 DM+DM 7R+CL - 3./Aufkl.Gr.(See)125, crashed 09.04.43, Copenhagen-Trondheim, 100% loss; 3./Aufkl.Gr.(See)125, crashed 09.04.43, Pl.Qu.5251/05 Ost, 100% loss; T. Mohr gives crash details for 3./Ku.Fl.Gr.406 I am not sure I can give you that. I am trying to find out what airplane a faroese fisherman shot down on 09.04.43. I have the hole story in faroese langues and are able to tranlate it to english or german, but first I want to ask you about where Pl.Qu.5251/05 Ost is? Do you have those crash details from T. Mohr? It was not unusual that Luftwaffe was flying from Trondheim to the Faroes, but mostly in Ju88 or Me111. Greeting from Denmark Olaf Berg Nielsen |

Re: Looking for information on BV-138 losses
BV 138C-1 W.Nr. 0310073 (DM+DM) 7R+CL ex. 3./125 (reported as ex. 1./125) was acutally collected in Travemünde by a crew from 1./Fl.Erg.Gr. (See) Copenhagen. The purpose was to ferry the aircraft to Kü.Fl.Staffel 3./406 at Tromsö-Skattöra. It was shot down en-route by an enemy aircraft. The entire crew was reported missing.
