Lancaster JA 708

Can anyone tell me the crash site of 97 Squadron Lancaster JA 708?

This aircraft was lost September 23rd. 1943 on a raid to Mannheim.

Any other relevant information would be appreciated.

I have a note that it was Rahmberg. By the way, this post should be in the Allied section!

Sorry-I lie. I have a brief paragraph from a captured German document which talks about POWs from this crash (Rahmberg near Edenkoben) saying that 97 Sqn was losing on average 2 aicraft a month

My father was a P.O.W. from this crash, hence my interest.

David: You can contact me via PM if you wish but Rahmberg was definately where the Lanc came down (according to the Germans and there were now POWs from the other 97 Sqn loss)
