JG 54 losses on 11 and/or 21 January 1944

Hello, the RLV summary for 11 January 1944 shows that III./JG 54 claimed 11 victories against 8th AF for the loss of 3 aircraft shot down, 1 damaged and two pilots killed.

One of these pilots was Uffz Rudi Wohlfahrt of 7./JG 54 who was killed when his Bf 109G-6/U4 WNr 20738 "white 7" was shot down in an air battle south of Halberstadt.

I suspect that the other was Uffz Bodo Uhl of 8./JG 54. In Rosipal's JG 54 loss list, his death date is recorded as 21 january 1944 in an air battle east of Hildesheim (aboard Bf 109 G-6 WNr 410269 "white 5"). But AFAIK, there was no Allied raid on Germany this day and so no battle.

In Rosipal's JG 54 loss list, Rudi Wohlfahrt is recorded twice as killed, first on 11 January 1944 with no aircraft WNr, and then on 21 January 1944 with Bf 109G-6/U4 WNr 20738 "white 7". Second date is obviously wrong, and so my guess is that the date for Uhl death date is wrong too.

Can someone confirm that Bodo Uhl was the second JG 54 pilot killed on 11 January 1944 ?

Thanks in advance

Laurent

NVM gives 11 January for both Wohlfahrt and Uhl. There are no NVM at all for 21 Jan.
