Was Me-262 ‘White 17’ flown by Heinz Bar?

Was Me-262 ‘White 17’ Me-262 with a Yellow Stripe behind the canopy and a small white S in the Balkenkreuz flown by Heinz Bar?

Thanx for bearing with my excessive inquisitiveness,

Rob Romero

IIRC, this particular aircraft is a Schulemaschine, hence the 'S' marking. This meant that it ws to be used for training purposes only, as the airframe was not fit for combat.

However,

At http://www.luftarchiv.de/ if you look under

1) Piloteneinsaetze

2) Me-262 Verbände

The photo is captioned as having been Bär’s? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Rob Romero

AFAIK Bär's aircraft is commonly described as being 'Red 13', whilst he flew with III./EJG 2 at Lechfeld.

Baer probably had the opportunity to fly a number of 262s during the last 6 months or so of the war. Some sources have claimed that he at some time flew 'white 17'. Did he? I think one would need his logbook to even begin to speculate.

It also depends on whether he flew an aircraft with a 'White 17' marking, or whether he flew that particular aircraft in the photo, which bears a 'White 17'.
