Good morning,
by courtesy of Alexandr Abramov and Mikhail Bykov I learned that NO ace scored 5 personal kills in the Polikarpov I-15bis. The most successful Polikarpov I-15bis pilot was Georgii Agafonov with 4 kills in that type. Michael |

Good morning,
so many Soviet aces scored at least 25 kills in a La-5 or a P-39. The top Yak-1, Yak-7 and Yak-9 aces have scored more than 25 kills in these types, respectively. Why did nobody achieve that in a Yak-9, which was the most-produced Soviet WW2 fighter ? Kind regards, Michael |
