Re: 3 x Bf109 to ID

Observe the location of the '87' fuel triangles. All three are Bf 109Gs, with "weisse 11" and "weisse 6" being Bf 109G-6/R6s. "Weisse 6" also has a small bump on the spine for the RDF loop.

This motion picture sequence (there are others) first appeared in Wochenschau Nr.712, 26.April 1944. A starboard-side view of the cowl of "weisse 6" reveals it had the additional small 'bump' for the compressor on the 13mm gun cover.

As to the unit... THAT's the $64 question.

Re: 3 x Bf109 to ID

Hallo Kris,

Here is the few I have:

1. "Weisse 11": WNF built Bf 109 G-6 W.Nr. 20 265 "PM+SI", unknown training unit.
2. "Weisse 6", no information
3. "Weisse 5": Bf 109 G-2 W.Nr. unknown "RG+BL", unknown training unit.

Cheers
Marc
