I have a logbook of this section: first night fighter patrol had been flown on 7.6.40 between 00.00 and 02.47 hrs from Griesheim (on an altitude of 7000 m in the area of Mannheim-Darmstadt) in Do 17Z U5+BK. Regards Robert |

Hi Robert -yes that's the FB that I'm referring to. And Chris; I don't know the version Z that the NJ Kette 1 flew, just the type Z given in FB.

Dear all,
I've an additional question to this topic: in an early-war Nachtjagd Flugbuch I've come across the entry of a Do17 Z 2N+HH belonging to 5./NJG1 (early July 1940). What was the previous unit code of 2N+? (One would have expected the a/c to be coded G9+ by early July 1940). Cheers, Theo |
