Statistical Comparisons of LW losses by type in Battle of Britain

To save re-inventing the wheel, has anyone done a statistical analysis, type by type, of Luftwaffe losses during the Battle of Britain period?

I am looking to find a comparison table showing % of losses (against the overall operational strenghts) of each front-line type; Me 109, Me 110, He 111, Do 17, Do 215, Ju 87 and Ju 88. I want to establish the 'league table', if you like, of the % losses from the overall strengths of each type.

I am sure the information is out there, and doubtless in a published source already on my bookshelves. Question is; where?

Andy,

the statistics tables in Jagdfliegerverbände Vol. 4/I may help. Otherwise the old series of articles by Hans Ring published in Luftfahrt International in the late senventies/early eighties contained detailed lists day by day and type by type.

Regards

Jochen

I used the numbers in:
Christer Bergstrom, Lufstrid Over Kanalen, Stockholm: Leanden and Elcholm, 2007, pp. 206-08.

This excellent book unfortunately has only appeared in a Swedish-language edition. The author kindly provided excerpts.

Thanks all!

Jochen - if you could help me source those articles, or point me in the right direction, I'd be most grateful.

Also, Jochen, did you get the Me 109 photo scan OK and was it of sufficient quality?

I have now sorted out my scanner and provide one in higher res if needed.

Andy
