Re: Egon Albrecht Bf110C-4 WNr 3666

There is no NVM for this loss. I have found in GQM documents both 3566 and 3666. Because 3666 was damaged on 14.8.1942 at 13.(Z)/JG 5, I suppose that correct WNr. for the 19 Dec 1942 loss is 3566. Please note also that GQM loss return dated 30.12.1942 gives version C-4, which fits to 3566 (3666 is version D-3).

Re: Egon Albrecht Bf110C-4 WNr 3666

That there is no NVM makes sense given that there doesn't appear to be any casualty involved in the incident. Note that in Prien, et al in Die Jagdfliegerverbände, IX.3, p.504 gives the WNr. as 3664!! I have no other incidents for either WNr. 3566 or WNr. 3666 so other than Matti's point that the subtype named in the loss is a Bf 110C-4, it's a bit of a toss up!!

Re: Egon Albrecht Bf110C-4 WNr 3666

In the GQM loss return dated 30 Dec 1942 the Albrecht crew is listed as injured. This entry was corrected on 21 July 1943: Besatzung Lt Albrecht unverletzt.

Egon Albrecht Bf 110 C-4 WNr 3566

Hello

I noticed that the Flugzeugbestand und Bewegungsmeldungen for II./ZG 1 lists four Bf 110 C/E/F sub-types and one Bf 110 D sub-type as lost to strength without enemy action in December 1942 ... Could this information help determine the sub-type involved in this particular incident?

Horrido!

Leo

Re: Egon Albrecht Bf110C-4 WNr 3666

I very much doubt WNr. 3664, because it seems to be used by DVL and damaged twice:
1943-05-13, DVL Adlershof, Bf 110 D-3, 3664, Fl.Pl. Berlin-Johannisthal
Notlandung infolge Motorstörung. Bruch 10 %.
1944-03-23 (1944-04-23?), DVL, Bf 110 D-3, 3664, Fl.Pl. Berlin-Johannisthal
Rollschaden. Bruch 15 %.

Also, it is not version C-4.

Good afternoon Gentlemen,

did Egon Albrecht score all his kills in the Bf 110 ?

I wish you a good New Year's Eve, sincerely,

Michael
