Re: Whirlwind photos
There is a recent book "263 and 137 Sqns the Whirlwind Years" by Robert Bowater which includes some info. Unfortunately in an Appendix he writes that Brown was buried near Lille a/f and in the main text he writes he was buried near Amiens a/f. It seems the causes for suspicion about the circumstances of his death are that news of what had happened to him was not received in Britain through the usual channels and when the body was found that is assumed to be him there were no dog tags with it.

Is this the German magazine Jet & Prop ?. If so, do you know the issue of this particular Jet & Prop magazine ?. In my possession are all issues from 1993 up to now. Do you have a time-frame, when this article was published in the magazine ?. Thanks ! Horst Weber |

Re: Whirlwind photos
Jerry, was there anything new in the article concerning the cause of Brown's death?
There certainly seem to be a few things which make either his death and/or burial unusual. And thank you Steve as well for the additional information regarding Bowater's book. Best, Tim |
