Re: Captain Judge Wolfe
Keith,
My father flew with Captn. Wolfe in the 333rd. I have a copy of a mission report they flew just 12 days before the action you are questioning. I can't confirm the June 10th report but I'm curious how you found out about it. I have been in contact with his niece who says the June 10th action was written up in an article in True magazine in 1967. Captn. Wolfe unfortunatly died in a flame out crash on take off in an F-80 in 1948 at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona. Ric. |

Re: Captain Judge Wolfe
On June 10, 1945 Capt. Judge Edmond Wolfe claimed 2 Zekes at 0845 hours, 30 miles N of Kagoshima Wan, and 2 Jacks at 0900 hours, 50 miles N of Kagoshima Wan. He was flying a P-47N; his assigned aircraft was P-47N-1 44-87959, but I do not know whether he was flying it that day. If my memory is right, mission reports can be found both at Maxwell AFB, and NARA II in College Park, Maryland.
He was killed on Nov 24, 1948, in F-80A-1 44-85302. Frank.
