RK-Träger at Dijon / 16-19 December 1941

Dear all,

Is there any record of a Staffel or Kampfgeschwader that was stationed at DIJON (France), between 16-19 December 1941 and that has, at that time, on RK-träger amongst them?

Tried to find names, but got no joy. It seems to be a Kampfgeschader (maybe KG 55).

The IV./KG 55 was based there from spring 1941 until May 1944.

Adriano-abut vague without rank, unit or aircraft type. He could have been just passing through with such a limited time span.

Re: RK-Träger at Dijon / 16-19 December 1941

Chris, indeed a most vague starting of my part. Sorry...

This is the front image (close on RK-Träger and most amazing "moustache" - Galland Style - I have seen on a LW Officer on his side).

Me too, I believe this may be someone from IV/KG 55, but do not know who...(so far).

You can see too, that the back of the picture do confirm the Dates I mentioned (16-19 December 1941)

Maybe some of you may identify the RK-träger...from memory and some initial checking at sites, I was so far unable to give him a name.

Adriano B.

Certainly looks a bit like Karbe but he did not join IV./KG 55 until Jan/Feb 42
