No answer, but technically shouldn't 1T+LL belong to the 3 Staffel? Cheers Stig |

Re: 2./KG 28, December 1941
Hi,
I wonder if there may be some mistake here? WNr 4479 - Weidling, Weissenberger and Reiter returned to unit approx. 16 December, Hadicke was injured. WNr 4573 - Not with the crew that you name, was with 3./KG28, and was reported missing on 13 December, during mission to PlQu 646. I believe that the crew of this aircraft returned to unit in January 1942. Always open to correction! Regards David |

Re: 2./KG 28, December 1941
Hi,
Again I stand to be corrected, but I have crew as :- Uffz Paul Leidling (F), Fw Rolf Reitern, Willi Weissenberger, Uffz Hans Schwaimhofer. Aircraft was 1T+MK of 2./KG28. From previous reply re. 16 December return to unit - it could be that this is the date that their return was reported although they could have returned earlier and thus poor Weissenberger (if it is the same man) get's shot down twice! Regards David |
