Looking for a P-38 serial number

Hi!
Can anyone familiar with Lockheed c/n give me the serial number of a P-38 with number 1404 painted on the nose?

If the Lockheed C/N (constuctors number) is 1404 it would be P-38H-5-LO S/N (serial number) 42-66893.

If the last 4 digits of the S/N is 1404 it could be a variety of different P-38's.
