pilot crew listings

I see that most sites only list commanders and squadron leaders , but are there any listings of other pilots and lower ranked personel attached to luftwaffe units? .. especially reccon and fighter pilots.

Re: pilot crew listings

This would often be listed in the units war diaries.

Sadly a lot of those are not longer more than ashes... and dust!

Regards,
Andreas

Re: pilot crew listings

Really, the only way round this is to do the work yourself, collating everything you can find in books, loss reports, log books, claims lists, prisoner interrogations (pilots often named several of their comrades), correspondence with survivors and so on. Some signals intelligence files in the British National archives also have names of personnel but I'm only at the very early stages of looking at these so far.

It's a long job and you'll never know if you have finished it.

Re: pilot crew listings

You can find online the pilot lists of JG 26 and (F)/122, loss list of JG 54, JG 52 and KG 55, even if I don't remember the adresses of the sites, Google will give them to you.

Re: pilot crew listings

I did a table of identified II/JG26 pilots in August 1944. I would gladly put it here but not sure how to convert a table to post it on board.
Of course any comments will be appreciated.
