location of Pontsalenjoki airfield 1943

I was recently doing some research on the loss of FW189 V7+1H WNr 0112100 in May 1943. The crew which recovered the aircraft in 1992 provided a map showing details of its last flight from Pontsalenjoki (Ponts) to near Louhi where it was shot down.
Their map shows Ponts as NE of Salla and NW of Alakurtti, just below where the Finland/Russia border makes a curve from a SE bearing to a SSW bearing. On Google Maps there is what appears to be an old airfield at 67.455N 30.020E, pretty much where their map shows.
I have 2 problems with the airfileld's location.
1. The Luftwaffe Airfields link at www.ww2.dk has the coordinates for Ponts at 65.45N and 30.57E, which is in the middle of nowhere and nowhere near 6km west of Pyaozersky where the site states it is. There appears to be a disused airfield at 65.761N 30.95E, which is just west of Pyaozersky and I assume this is the one they mean. This would also tie in with other info on their site, for example the Ponchi River 1.5km north of the airfield.
2. But this is nowhere near the location suggested by the V7+1H recovery team.
I contacted the team who does the Luftwaffe Airfields for clarification, but they have no info other than what they used for their site.
Can anyone shed some more light on this?
Thanks

Re: location of Pontsalenjoki airfield 1943

Hello
In Valtonen's Luftwaffen Pohjoinen Sivusta (something likes 'The Northern Flank of the Luftwaffe' in English) (1997) on page 27 there is a rough map which shows Pontsalenjoki airfield SSE of Alakurtti.

Ps A bit better map in Jaakko Alakulppi's Lapin Ilmailuhistoria I on page 262 shows Pontsalenjoki airfield SSE of Alakurtti, almost due East from Kemi and NW of the Soviet airfield at Sompa/Shomba.

Re: location of Pontsalenjoki airfield 1943

OK, thanks guys. West of Pyaozersky it is. Even Wiki says "east of Kuusama" which is more or less in the right direction.
I just wish I had a contact for the recovery team so I could ask them where they got their info from, but the pdf they released was over 20 years ago....
Cheers!
