NJG2 January 4th 1941
Hi,
Can anyone please confirm if NJG2 were active on the night of January 4th 1941. A Wellington was attacked by a 'Me110' at around 18:30hrs south of Marham. I am aware that NJG2 were equipped with JU88C and Do17Z of II./NJG2. Were either of these types active on this night. Also to confirm that the sighting of a Me110 was a case of misidentification. The answer is yes. A single ac (not specified but Ju 88 or Do 17, not Bf 110) attacked Marham at 1926 hrs and spotted a Wellington. No names or further details

Agree with Chris, but may add that the intruder attacking Marham did not report a 'Feindberührung' or contact with/attack on an enemy aircraft.

Hi Theo,
Thats interesting as the crew reported cannon fire?, also the 3 Group HQ Records Book records the Wellington attacked. Regards Steve

The Germans would not have recorded damaged or probables hence no combat report would have been filed
